Riyahd Ahad is a British-Bangladeshi media executive, journalist and cultural coordinator with extensive experience in international events, community broadcasting and diaspora engagement across the UK and Europe. He has played a significant role in helping to connect the British Bangladeshi community with wider international audiences through media and cultural initiatives.
Executive Editor — Bangla Kagoj. Leads editorial strategy, community journalism and news coverage for Bangla Kagoj News, a prominent media platform serving Bangladeshi communities across Europe with political, social and cultural reporting.
Midlands Correspondent — Jamuna TV. Represents one of Bangladesh's leading 24-hour television news channels in the Midlands, bringing important UK community stories and developments to a global audience.
Head of Programmes — BEON TV UK. Oversees programme planning, broadcasting schedules and content creation, while also serving as a live television talk show host, covering key community and cultural issues.
Founder & Chief Co-ordinator — Bangla Kagoj Community Awards. Founded the Bangla Kagoj Community Awards in Barcelona, Spain in 2011, creating a platform to recognise achievements within the Bangladeshi community across Europe. Over more than a decade, he has helped develop the initiative into a celebrated platform for community recognition, cultural pride and international networking.
International Event Producer & Cultural Co-ordinator. With extensive experience in producing, coordinating and hosting prestigious cultural events, gala dinners, award ceremonies and community showcases, Riyahd Ahad has delivered events across Barcelona, Paris, Venice, Lisbon, Athens, Berlin and Sylhet.
